Girl Speak

Hi! My name is Sarah McAuliffe and I am the founder of Girl Speak. I founded Girl Speak as part of my Gold Award for Girl Scouts. As a high school debater, I often noticed that there were not as many girls as boys involved in debate. I did some research about why girls do not join activities like debate, and I found that girls are hesitant to speak in public. The biggest reason that I found that girls are hesitant to speak in public is that they lack confidence in themselves. 

 

Girl Speak's goal is to help girls to feel more confident in their public speaking skills and share their ideas and opinions with the world.
